Comparing Swishmax4 To Sothink Quicker

Hi,

I am wanting to upgrade my flash software from Coffee Cups Flash Firestarter which does all the text animation I need but doesn't support png transparency in images etc & is pretty basic.
I don't want to use adobe flash as it is too complicated & expensive.

So after reseaching I have found SwishMax4 & SoThink Quicker to be products somwhere in between?

But neither of their websites shows me a lot of high quality examples of what the program can do.

So I would appreciate some clarification if Swishmax4 can create flash web pages like those I see here http://templates.entheosweb.com/template_number/33634.asp ?

I'm referring to things like how the menu moves & the bell animates, text that has a reflection move across it, sound effects on mouseover or click & stuff like that. Most of the flash templates on that site have nice effects I would like to create but I haven't seen anything like that demonstrated on either of the 2 software sites I'm considering.

I'm a graphic designer so I can create the graphics no problem, just need a flash program to allow me to create the animation.

Hope you can advise & offer any further info you think is relevant to why I should choose Swish over SoThink. Thanks very much.

...you should also check out "SWiSH miniMax4" - http://www.swishzone.com/index.php?area=products&product=max_mini - it's under $70 and there is a fully functional, 15 day free trial available.
...and there are many examples at SWiSHzone's Blog - http://blog.swishzone.com/

Thanks for your reply,

But can you confirm if Swish can create the animations like the example I gave?

I have seen the blog examples you mentioned.

I would prefer the full version program rather than a mini one, so I don't outgrow it & have to upgrade.

Thanks.

- yes it can (it's a Flash Authoring Program) but of course it will depend on your skills as well.
