Hi All

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how to change the background colour of the rectangle on the preloader. For example, currently the movie is black while the loading bar appear and then the logo, buttons and content appear and the background colour I've changed it to fades in. This all looks great if you keep black as your HTML background, but as soon as you make that another colour, the black of the preloader stands out like the proverbial. Same with if you've change the background colour of the rectangle in main.swf. I've hunted everywhere and tried changing every colour reference I can find, but nothing changes it so I'm guessing I'm still looking in the wrong place. Worked out how to change all the other colours, but just not this one, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and I assume it's in the preloader as it happens when the loading is happening but I could be wrong.

Many thanks.

...in "main.swi" you have to go to "Content/Content*/rectangle_mc/Shape" and change the color on the "Shape" property panel.

"*" number of Content - this has to be done in all 6 "Content" MovieClips.

Thanks, Wolf, but that's the background of the content section (I found this and have changed this). What I'm after is right at the very very beginning. If you change the background colour of the movie file, there is still a file that loads before this that is black and then fades into whatever colour you've made the background. It's before the logo, menus or content appear which is why I assume it's to do with the preloader but that's just an assumption.

...you have to edit "preloader.swi".

Yeah, but where? For the life of me I can't find where it is in that section... :) I'll look again incase I've missed it but I thought I checked everywhere yesterday... the only rectangle in there that I could find, which I really thought was it because it covers the entire area (and it's under that rectangle_mc section) doesn't change it. I've changed the colour, but it hasn't changed when I export it. Again, I'll try it again incase I've missed something, but I did try that. Changing of the rectangle colour seems to only change the loading bar (not sure how that works, but that's what it does). I've also tried changing movie properties so that background is a different colour. It does it in swish but as soon as you export, it still black so I'm guessing it's not that. I can't find anywhere else in preloader it might be, so help! :)

I FOUND IT! \o/ <-- Happy Dance!

It's actually in the index.html file - you need to change the placeholder colour from black (#000000) to whatever you want.
