Calendar Component Tutorial, Is there one?? Options

Hi -

I've been using Max2 sparingly for about a year. I have one site up and running using template87 (Woody Holler) - but I am having a lot of trouble figuring out how to customize the template so that I can:

1. Include a calendar component
2. customize the calendar component to suit the template theme
3. tigger the display of events (gigs) when a date is clicked
4. allow my site owner (user) to create calendar events and edit event details

I see that Max3 now has a calendar component - but there doesn't seem to be any accompanying guide on how to incorporate the component into movie or provide examples of how the component can be used. Are there any instructions for how to use this component anywhere? Can the component be customized and used to suit my needs listed above. Any tips would be welcomed.
