I purchased Site 41 yesterday and have been going crazy trying to figure out the problem I've been having.

I uploaded the "UPLOAD" directory (unmodified) to the following website location:

http://www.rogershomes.net/41original/

Click on the Contact Link, then the News link. It works fine right?

Now, I've been having a probem where if I click on the Contact Link, then the News Link, it still shows the Contact link until you click a few other menu items then go back to News. I couldn't figure this out for the life of me. Then I realized that the UPLOAD directory of SWF files is DIFFERENT than the UNMODIFIED .SWI files. Just for fun, I did a fresh install of the files, then exported all of the untouched .SWI files to .SWF and uploaded them. Here's the directory I uploaded them to:

http://www.rogershomes.net/41old/

Now, as you'll see, the error that I wrote about above is evident, even though these are the unmodified .SWI files.

Also worth noting is that the main.swf file in the UPLOAD directory is 144K, but when I convert the main.swi file to a main.swf file, it's now only 90k.

Now, for Issue #2 with the Multiple Scroll template. I touched on another issue in a different post, but I found yet another issue:

Click on the following link:

http://www.rogershom...l/mainmenu.html

Click on the Services menu item

Click on Link 2, 3, or 4 once

Click on Link 1....You CAN'T go back to link 1....I don't think this was by design.

Any help for these two issues is greatly appreciated.

Hi,
which version (and build) of SWiSH Max are you using? Max or Max2 (the build date is under 'Help | About' in the main menu).

If you are using Max2, there would be a difference between the unmodified SWF in the UPLOAD folder and the exported SWF from Max2. The site was created in SWiSH Max1 and the SWF in the UPLOAD folder came from SWiSH Max1.

It might be best if you logged a support call with all of this information - https://support.swis...rt.asp?redir=no

Put it into the 'Templates' category.

I'm using Max 2.

Also, I just noticed that the problem is a little more widespread. When you open the site http://www.rogershomes.net/41old/ and click Gallery then Services, you end up on the Gallery Page instead of the Services page. Clicking News, then Gallery keeps you on the News page instead of the Gallery page. It seems that when you click a menu item and then go to the left of that menu item, it stays on the previous menu item for some reason. It only happens once, but it's still annoying and should be fixed. I submitted a help request, so we'll see what happens.

...there is no point of posting the same thing again (I've deleted it)...have you logged a support call as David asked you to do?

Well, I'm very sorry, but I couldn't add to my post since it was locked. And yes, I logged a support call. But, I find this very frustrating and annoying that a product I paid for doesn't work as advertised.

...this is also a matter for support as members here at the forums can not really do anything about this.

I have a problem with this template and found this incident which describes the same problem. The template worked fine in IE on the swish site when I viewed it before I purchased it, but you have to click it multiple times to get it to change. I opened an incident I think 4 days ago and have heard nothing. Any other suggestions on support. I am new to the product and new to the support structure. Thanks

I know. However I lost my password so I requested it be sent to me last night and I am still waiting for that to come via e-mail. A lot of waiting... FOr those that know the support structure, do you get a response directly when a support call is opened or do you have to practively go in and look at your call history to read a response? Thanks

Thank You. I realize it's a matter for support. However I am in support hell for lack of a better word. I requested my password 2 times (my fault I lost it I know), have not heard back on the PW or on the problem that I opened almost a week ago. Since this forum seems to have members that are strong proponents of the product, I assume that you are strong proponents of their support as well? If so, any suggestions to get a response back from their support desk would be great. Thanks.

I purchased Max2 and the Site 41 Glass FX template two days ago. I am experiencing exactly the same problem this post addresses. Since the post is several months old, did anyone solve the problem via support? Or do I now have to log a support call?
