:o Just wondering if there is anyway to reset the main.swi to defaults and start over. There is no extra main.swi in the templates folder so the only way I can undo everything and start from scratch is to reset everything to defaults, I'm not sure if it is possible though. I'm having some problems cause (I'm using site 82 Vinyl) my scrollbar is not loading and my news and audio will not line up properly so when the page loads there at all weird angles. Also my section1.swf will not load even thoughI used a single page template modified it and saved it as section1.swf just as the tutorial says and it still will not load. I'm hoping to reset the main.swi to defaults and rebuild a new main.swf to upload in an attempt to erase any mistakes I may have made the first time.......any help?

hi,
not if you have saved with changes.

We do recommend making a backup of the whole template folder for such emergencies, and it sounds like you will need to unpack the site again (to a different location) and then copy the main.swi to your existing site folder for your repairs.

If you did not keep the installer, you can download again from your mySWiSHzone controls and make a key on-screen there.

I am having the same problem, but when I tried to redownload, following the starting fresh directions on this site, it downloads and opens with all my saved work..including the problem main.swf file. I am only having problems with my colors though on the droplets template. I am also getting the error:

LOADING URL (GET) url="section1.swf"
window=""
LOADING URL (GET) url="section2.swf"

LOADING URL (GET) url="section3.swf"

...you getting these error messages because you can not test your movie from within SWiSHmax...if you would read the helpfiles, you would find this...

Test, test, test
After each change, save and export the .swf file for testing. Due to the interdependence of the .swf files you can not preview the .swi within SWiSH. Export your Movie to the UPLOAD folder by selecting 'File | Export | SWF' (you do not need to export the HTML). You must export each Movie without changing the file name. When you export, a warning dialog box will notify you that the file already exists and ask you if you want to replace it. Click on 'YES' to overwrite the original file.
