I need to put some hyperlinked text in one of the scrolling text fields, but whenever I follow the directions I've seen on the forum for doing that the text field goes blank. Somebody had this same problem when using site 46 as you can see in this thread:

http://forums.swishzone.com/index.php?show...mp;hl=hyperlink

And Wolf had a fix for him that seemed to work. My trouble is that I'm such a noob to Swish that I can't even make sense of what Wolf was telling the guy to do. Can any of you elaborate on Wolf's instructions?

Thanks.

...I'm afraid there is no option in "Premiere" to add a hyperlink into the scrolling text, the way the scroller is scripted it will only move the text block in "TEXT_FIELD" up or down, so you can not create a gap in the text and insert a separate hyperlink - you can but the link will stay put and not move with the rest of the text.
What yo have to do, is to use a different scroller as provided with "Premiere", I have done one with a scroller that does allow you to place a link in a gap in the text and still will scroll text and link.
If yoy're interested in a copy of the swi - email me and I'll send you the file.

Hi Wolf,

Thanks for the file. It works great for a single page, but I'd like to use your magic scrolling mechanism on subnav Page5 of the Premiere portfolio.swi. I've tried modifying it by moving the scroller sprite down into the Page5 sprite and changing the script to look for _parent.CONTENT.TEXT_FIELD.PAGE5.TEXT_FIELD.TEXT_FIELD. . ., but that's not making it work. Can you tell me how to make it work for this situation?

Thanks.

Oh, this sounds like what I'm looking for - allowing html links (as an embedded button, not rendered HTML due to masking) on submenu pages in the multiple.swi option. Can you please send this to me as well. fatal.lordes@gmail.com
Thanks in advance!

Hi Wolf,

Just wondering what version of SM to use with this (multiple_diff_pics) as I'm trying SM2 but I get nothing appearing when I export it. I did it as section5 and when I pick section five in the browser, the white bar sweeps up and down, but nothing appears. Or do you think my copy is corrupt? Or am I missing something because I've not had enough coffee yet?

Also, I'm assuming this also lets me do hyperlink scrolling (as per the post from Spastus) as well as different pictures for each submenu?

Thanks heaps

:)
