I've been a casual user of Swish/SwishMax for a few years, but I'm just beginning to play with video. I'm planning to pickup Swishvideo, but trying to get a good feel for it before I do. Looking at the "Features" page, it appears this program does not actually provide editing resources for the video files. True? What additional program do I need, in order to be able to do simple editing of video files? From an editing standpoint, I'm primarily interested in being able to clip small segments from longer video files, then save them as a new file. Ideally, supporting avi, wmv, mpeg. Thanks,
Whit

Yes, SWiShvideo it's not a video editor
it converts any video file (avi, wmv, mpeg, etc) into swf file
and comes with some great players
you need to find another tool for editing video files
if you whant to do minor cuts and mixing and add some effects
windows XP comes with windows movie maker
it's free and does the job

Thanks a bunch for replying. Movie Maker was exactly what I was looking for to get the video ready for Swishvideo.
