I have been testing the software and it really works great! I'm using a Windows 2000 (Traditional Chinese system) and the Chinese characters display perfect for the text captions and titles.

I'm from Canada and teaching English in Taiwan. I can can see so many uses for this software, especially for presentations. I've looked at camtasia studio, robo presenter, etc. and you guys can give them a good run once many of the requests for the wish list are implemented. :P Many people want the ability to display some text, have some captions, add audio to each caption (MP3), an audio on/off button, preloader, slide advance by user and some other requests I've seen.

I think once the wish list gets implemented.... wow it will be a great picture and presentation tool saving us so much time. I use swishmax now and can already see how much time swishpix saves me for simple presentations.

One request I hope to see is the abilility to have one picture where we can have captions come in an out with seperate audio for each caption without having to make duplicate slides for each caption with audio. Another good tool would be to have audio recording capability for each slide. Then we can record and advance the slide when our recording is done. ;)

Really great beta product so far. Thanks guys!

thanks for your feedback. we will consider your request and put it into our wishlist. one request that already implemented and will be available in the next build is adding mp3/wav per slide.

just stay tuned!

Is it done yet? ;-) Just kidding -

A couple of things i thought of - how about drop shadows for the images and / of the ability to outline the images in very fine line - same way as is done in swishmax.

Well thats it for now - thanks for listening

First of all I really like your software.
for the beginner it is very easy to use.

I have read most of the replies and I to agree there needs to be some kind of way to pause/stop the slide show.

other than that (for now)
Keep up the good work

Can you please let me know the details what do you mean by you can't download it? Eg: The download link is broken or you can't find where to download it?

:) Great product.

A couple of minor suggestions when you get arount to it.

 You should add a line to the Photos line about dragging the photos around to reorder the photos. It is not obvious that is the way to reorder.

It would be nice when you switch from edit to decorate, if the same image was selected.

It would be nice to be able to specify the transitions between photos (and text) in the album by image.

As I said, great product :D

I download your beta product with great anticipation! I have a photography website, and ever since installing Swish v2 I have been wanting to implement a "flash type" slideshow as an option for viewing my photos. I'm a self learner, and while I realize I might not have been creating slideshows in the most efficient manner, it was just to time consuming to create a weekly slideshow in Swish v2. I like how easy and fast you can create presentations in Swishpix, however the "fading in and out" transition is way to tedious to me. It would be great if you could add other options like maybe sliding in a picture from the left and having it exit to the right or below as the next photo slides into place. I like the idea of a "pause button" and even though I don't plan on adding music all of the time, a music control would be cool also! The great thing about displaying photos in this fashion is it makes it harder for people to "grab" them off the net, so I don't have to put a big ugly "watermark" across my pictures. The only reason I can think that I wouldn't use your software is because of the above mentioned "slow transition". People run out of patience fast, and I usually post 150 to 200 new photos every week during the racing season. Thanks for listening and for developing what I'm sure will be a very useful product. When are you anticipating the "final" release?

Why can't you add more than 100 pics to an album.

Excellent product for us layman who don't have time to learn how to write flash.

One question, is it possible to make a gallery index using Swish? By that I mean a top level index page that then leads into different individual galleries of multiple pictures. E.G an Index of say, Portraits, Weddings, LAndscapes, sports, etc. Each going into their own index.

At the moment I seem to just be able to have one single index page leading to one gallery?

I think that this will shape up to be a really quick and easy albumn builder. I would like to echo a couple points that would make the biggest difference to me.
  • Add the pause button
  • Ability to remove and/or change the photo transitions
  • Music on/off
Keeps getting better though! If things progress how they have thus far, I can't wait to get my hands on the final product! :D
