Are there many themes with the full version off swishpix?
Can I create my own themes? That would be cool.

Yes you can create your own theme. To do this, download Theme Creator at
http://www.swishzone.com/SetupSwishpixTCbe...sf8g9h35t98.exe

I have been using the SwishPix and SwishPixTC applications and think they are wonderful. As I was attempting to use TC I received an error stating SwishPixTC created an unexpected error. Unfortunately, an error log was not created as mentioned in the error dialogue box.
Basically, I had clicked on some text in the theme, then was clicking on the Wizard tabs at the bottom when the error occurred.
I hope this helps.
Also, to create new themes, do I have to creat my own .swi files as well?

Can you please tell me how to reproduce the crash problem?
To create your own theme, you can copy button, background, foreground, clip from existing theme (browse Program Files/SWiSHPixTC/Gallery/Theme folder). Or you can make your own using SWiSH 2.0

I would like to be able to publish full size photos without any theme borders.
It would be nice if I could use my microphone to record brief comments about photos etc

As a Swish user since V 1.5 who has just upgraded to Swishmax, I was quite disappointed with Swishpix. I installed the trial and kept it for abour 20 minures before uninstalling.
I agree about full sized images....personally I want my images to retain full quality.
The main thing you need to work on IMHO is those templates...they are clipartish, amaturish looking..almost childlike in nature. They certainly would not work for anyone wanting a clean, professional means of display.
Maybe some better templates, and the option of using just a color? And really you should give the option of using the imported images as they are.
I suppose this program could be useful to those who don't want to create a gallery or slideshow manually in Swish, I just think those templates really need to go.

first, currently I build flash slide shows and image galleries from scratch. and have the need to up date images often. The batch type processing here is a great help.
second, having my images in a swf file allows me to have more ocntrol over who is using them.
A few notes on the beta.
What i need is the ability to make a simple (non theme) gallery or slide show. Solid color back ground - with navigation buttons that are simple but stand out. Right now for example if i make a all black theme - only some of the navigation buttons show (unless there is someplace i missed to edit their colors).
For example i would use the above as popups from a swish written website. (you can see an rough example under "gallery one" at http://www.orsillo.com
From what i have read - i assume you are adding more themes, a good thing, but more control over the image layout would be great.
high quality images is a must.
How about a built in "loading" indicator. ;-)
voice over would be a nice plus.
"Autorun" for cd and dvd slide shows.
Really you folks are on the right track with this. The beta seems stable. No problems on my system.
All i can say is Are you done yet? I can't wait.

This from a slideshow I did in Swish and converted to a projector (.exe file)
Just create a file in a text editor and name it autorun.inf
[autorun]
OPEN=BIKERIDEGREEN.EXE
ICON=BIKERIDEGREEN.EXE,0
Put this file on your CD and it will autorun when someone pops it into the CD drive.

Also when I downloaded SwishPix, it wouldn't completely install the program because it kept saying the simpleblue.swm file was missing. I figured out if I clicked ignore, at least the program would install. Then it gave me the error "The dynamic link library gdiplus.dll could not be found in specified path."
