I am a newbie and I'm trying to remove the backgrou ng panels from behind all of the text. I want to replace it with my own shapes, which I've done, but the images keep appearing and I've disabled all of the guides in every movie therefore it must be somewhere in the scripting.
If anyone could help me, I just want the backdrops to be removed permanently without damaging the integrity of the movie.
Thanks in advance.

...have you looked up the "Changing the Image" section of the helpfile?
This will give you a pretty straight forward explanation how to do this.

Been there, done that!
Perhaps i'm not being clear. It's not the image i'm trying to change, that was easy, it's the position of the guide on the final movie. I've repositioned my text so that it aligns better with my image, but the guide keeps showing up as a dark grey background in it's original position. i want to remove it completely so that only my image, and my tinted background frame show.
What am I missing?

...if you want to remove the semi-transparent black background of the text field and the title, you have to highlight the sprite "SLIDERS" in your "Outline" panel, then go to your "Timeline" and right-click, one by one the "Place" effect in frame 11 inc 15, bring up "Properties" and change the "Alpha" level from "100% Opaque" to "Transparent".

After looking for this for a while, I found it and gave this a shot, albeit to no avail. The transparent background objects remain in place, surely I must be doing something wrong but nothing obvious to my novice eyes.
