I'm using the 2007.12.14 build of SWiSH Max2, with the CityShadows Template97, when I test in the Flash Player, the movie quality toggles between High and Low. to reproduce this I do the following:

1. Test in player (ctrl+T)
2. Click "News" - quality then switches to Low
3. Click "Gallery" - quality then switches back to High

This can also be reproduced while testing in a browser, or when opening an exported flash file in the player or in a browser window. It can also be reproduced by moving the mouse around the movie without clicking anything, but the above proceedure 'works' every time.

This appears to be a new bug since installing the 2007.11.02 update - I did not have this probelm with the initial relase of SWiSH Max2

It doesn't for me here .. could you please attach the SWF files for the main, news and gallery pages?

I'm sorry, but we are unable to reproduce this problem here. Is there any further information you can provide that will help us, such as operating system, other software you are using, etc?

Please see attached files - I've attached the whole lot so it can be tested in entirety...

I'm having the same errors on my home and business machines, so I tried installing everything on a 3rd machine, and I got the exact same errors. note that the attached files are exactly as delivered in the template and unchanged in any way.

I figure it's only worthwhile mentioning the software I've got the same on all michines...

Windows XP SP2
IE7
Media Player 11 (I'm sure I read somewhere that there were errors in some build associated with MP11)
Adobe Acrobat 6 or 7 (depending on the machine)
Office Suite
Microsoft Messenger

That's about all I can think of...

I hope that helps

Cheers
Simon

This is where I stick my tail between my legs and run and hide...

I've just been fiddling with this on my work PC, which was the worst of them all - it would freeze and give me all sorts of error messages... I just re-installed the 2007.12.14 build, retested to sections, and everything's fixed... I have no idea why or how this worked - it shouldn't have...

I'll have to test it on the other computers and see if it works there too...

It's worth noting that I had to open up Task Manager and force close FlashPlayer8 for the install to work properly - I wonder if I was having the same issue on the other machines...

Stay tuned, and I'll let you know if I can fix the other machines the same way...

I hope somehow looking like a fool, others who encounter the same problem can find this thread useful...
